Library

AMTC libraries in the main campuses offer state-of-the-art technology, vast collections of reading and research material, and the specialized services of friendly, efficient, and helpful staff.

The Libraries house more than 1.5 million print volumes with medical information, as well as electronic books and journals, all classified under library of congress classification scheme.

The libraries are committed to supporting teaching, learning and research programmes at certificate, diploma and higher diploma levels for students, lecturers and non teaching staff through collection and provision of relevant and up to date medical information materials.

  • Libraries staff are well-trained to cater to the differing needs of KMTC students and medical research-oriented communities.
  • To cater for special needs of our valued clients, some libraries extend operating hours to 9.00 p.m.
  • Services offered in AMTC libraries include circulation services, user education, internet, current awareness services, and selective dissemination of information and inter-library lending.
  • The libraries acquire information materials through purchase and donations from such partners like UK’s Book Aid International, World Health Organization and individuals.
